Aluminium Nitride Ceramic Sheet
Aluminium nitride ceramic sheet can process into a green, completely dense state. When greening, it can process into complex geometries with relative ease. However, the sintering process required to fully densify the material causes the aluminium nitride body to shrink by about 20%. This shrinkage means that it is not possible to maintain very tight tolerances when processing AlN pre-sintering. Aluminium nitride ceramic sheets are commonly used in various applications.
In order to achieve very tight tolerances, the fully sintered material must machine using diamond tools. In this process, very precise diamond-coated tools/wheels use to grind the material until it forms the desired shape. Due to the inherent toughness and hardness of the material, this can be a time-consuming and expensive process.

AlN use for substrates up to 1 mm thick and can laser cut easily. It can also come in thicker forms, such as aluminium nitride ceramic sheets. However, manufacturing in small batches can be difficult/costly if the part requires custom materials or extensive machining. Application of Aluminium Nitride Ceramic Sheet:
If high thermal conductivity and electrical insulation properties are required, aluminium nitride ceramic (AlN) is an excellent material. In addition, aluminum nitride is a common alternative to beryllium oxide (BeO) in the semiconductor industry, and aluminium nitride ceramic sheets are widely used.
