AlN Ceramics
1. Impurities in AlN ceramics
AIN ceramic has a strong affinity, and the scattering of phonons by these defects greatly reduces the thermal conductivity of ain ceramics. The intrinsic defects in the aluminium nitride lattice are mainly caused by solid solution and AlO3 in AlN.
2.Density
High density is the prerequisite for ain ceramics sintered body to obtain high thermal conductivity. If the sintered body is not dense, there are a large number of pores, which will scatter phonons, thereby reducing the thermal conductivity.

3.The microstructure
Generally speaking, the sintered body of AlN Ceramics is mainly composed of AlN crystal phase, aluminate second phase (grain boundary phase) and pores, while the thermal conductivity of AlN Ceramics is closely related to the microstructure of each phase.
4.The sintering process
The sintering process has a great influence on the thermal conductivity of the sintered body of aluminium nitride ceramics. Atmospheric pressure sintering and hot pressing sintering are the two main sintering processes adopted at this stage.
